SECTION 2: COUNSELS PERTAINING TO THE CUSTOS’ VOCATION | Rule 2
126 words / Read Time: Under One Minute
Let the Custos be aware that God never instills a spirit of pusillanimity or doubt that the Custos can persevere in his noble vocation. On the contrary, the Spirit of God always grants hope which affords patience; which gives birth to perseverance; which perfects the man in his calling. For as the holy apostle of Christ says, “Count it all joy, when you shall fall into diverse temptations, knowing that the trying of your faith worketh patience. And let endurance [perseverance] hath a perfect work; that you may be perfect and entire, failing in nothing” (Jm 1:2-4). Therefore, where patience, perseverance, and the courage to remain in the calling of Christ is present, there God’s will is being accomplished and the Spirit of Christ is present.
