Section 4 | Rule 14: Regarding the Custos’ Sacred Duty to Bless His Wife

Let the Custos understand that God has granted him the authority to bless his wife in the name of Jesus Christ, and the Most Holy Trinity. By means of this blessing, God forges a deep bond between the married couple that is most difficult for the evil spirits to disrupt or overcome. In the moment of the blessing, the Custos images the sweetness, tenderness, sacrificial love, and courage of the Divine Bridegroom Jesus Christ. Therefore, let the Custos bless his wife daily, imploring God to bless her, favor her with his grace, protect her from all evil, and grant her eternal communion with the Most Holy Trinity.
