Section 3 | Rule #4: Regarding the Signs of Divine or Demonic Influence

Let the Custos be aware that the evil spirits have an infernal hatred for the eternal self-giving loving relationship of the One Triune God. Therefore, the evil spirits wage a relentless, ongoing war against the human representation of the Trinity, the family, for the purpose of attacking the heart of God. For it is said, “Through the devil’s envy, death entered the world” (Wis 2:24). The evil spirits act as an army, laying siege against a fortified kingdom, that is the domestic church, intent on dethroning, sidelining, or imprisoning its king, the father, for the purpose of plundering his goods, that is his wife and children (see Mk 3:28). Know that the Triune God is selfless and united, and the devil and his kingdom is selfish and divided. Therefore, where the father is inspired toward self-giving love, the Spirit of Almighty God is present; and when the father acts in a selfish manner, the devil is influencing the Custos. The more the Custos acts in selflessness the more his family will be united in Christ; whereas the more the Custos acts in selfishness, the more his family will be divided.
