Every Person’s Threefold Purpose: Are You Aiming for It?

A marksman aims at the target’s bullseye.
His posture, his breathing, his every movement is directed toward this.
An Olympic athlete has one goal: to win the gold.
Every meal, every training session, every thought is directed toward this goal.

What is your life’s purpose?

The Christian man’s default response is “Heaven” or “Getting to Heaven.”
Really?

Examine most Christian men’s lives.
Are they working, striving, training like the Olympic athlete for the gold of Heaven?
Are they aiming for the bullseye?

Most people arrange God according to their day’s plan, rather than arranging their day around God and His plan.

Personally, I don’t think that “Getting to Heaven” is THE purpose.

I think it is a consequence of living the TRUE PURPOSE.
The purpose of your life and my life—and every single person’s life—is threefold.

First: to glorify God

Second: to live in communion and experience union with God

Third: to draw others into that Divine and Blessed Union

And the three are one.
If I am in union with God, consequently, I glorify God who manifests His glory through me, which consequently attracts others to that Union.

Heaven or “getting to heaven” is a consequence of this great Purpose.

Examine your life.
Is this your sole aim?
Do you plan each day according to this purpose?
Does this purpose reshape every decision, and habit of your life?

It should.

From sunrise to sunset, plan your life around THE PURPOSE and you will be alive.
